honestly, he kinda struggles from substance abuse. it was something that was more than likely passed on around his peers, but further so encouraged and greatly pushed onto him by his coach as performance enhancers. he probs almost died from it too during an important competition, so he essentially is made to move to korea not only to recover in health– but also reputation wise as well, since he more than likely had it in him for a good handful of reputable competitive events back in canada. but now that he’s here in korea with aspirations to become a top fighter once again, he’s one of the unfortunate ones to also be embroiled with *important sponsors* who also have a little too much power with just how far he can get in his career or how much more of a living hell his life can be if he doesn’t fight who he is told to.
