character origins is inspired by ai hoshino from oshi no ko
before she became an arbiter in her past life she was born in the slums of los angeles, california and left for dead by a teen mother who did not have the means and resources to care for her. she grew up in an orphanage. eventually adopted by a korean couple at the age of 12 she had a hard time adjusting to her new life, for until then she trusted no one and felt unwanted and unloved, as if she could easily be discarded at any moment. her adoptive parents helped to soften her edges and helped her to find her outlet of her grief through acting and music. by the time she was 24 she finally had made it, prior to that she had been studying and only having a few minor acting roles and modeling gigs here and there, but her big break came when she signed with a manager and debuted as a singer and actress later on. she received much praise and accolades for her craft. eventually she even started to date a fellow actor, they kept their relationship a secret, only their parents and managers knew. but annie's manager grew green with envy. it was he who discovered her, he who nurtured her talents, he who owned her. when he found out that she was pregnant too and was willing to give up her career to become a housewife and mother he lost all reasoning.

(wip but i'm undecided on whether her body was found and the manager charged for the crime OR if her body was never found and she was presumed dead anyway due to the amount of blood loss found at the scene. also idk if i will kill off the baby daddy too #tragiclovers or if maybe he went to jail instead as a prime suspect its always the husband who did it) because of her selfless act to protect and love her daughter until the very end, she received a second chance now, to be an arbiter.
