jaewon didn’t fall far from the tree when it came to his profession. he followed in the footsteps of his family, who have a long lineage in the legal field. however, instead of joining the justice system as a judge, prosecutor, or criminal attorney like most of his family, jaewon was inspired by his trailblazing aunt and chose to pursue corporate law.

how many years of experience do you have in the industry?
　　i have over seven years of experience in this industry.
what was your reason for going into the fashion business?
　　my aunt, park jaehee, inspired me to follow in her footsteps and enter this industry. her biggest achievement was winning a monumental case involving one of south korea’s most famous corporations. but if you ask her, she would say it's being a fashion icon while playing in the big leagues of the legal field.
why work for elle, specifically, instead of other magazines?
　　to be honest, i was given the opportunity to work here because of my family’s connections. however, i have worked diligently and proven my worth to the company.
tell us a fun project you’ve done/would like to do while in the company.
　　i've dabbled in photography for a few years now, inspired by the many creatives i've seen working their magic at elle. it's an ongoing side project for me—capturing beautiful moments in my everyday, mundane life. despite my quiet demeanor, i'd actually love to go on a team-building camping trip. being outdoors would be a refreshing break for everyone.
