born from a household of average earning parents, ririka had big dreams of making it big. she was skilled in fashion even as young as 12 years old and especially loved collecting fashion magazines back in japan. and so, when south korea became a large trend, there was no doubt in ririka's mind that she wants to explore a different kind of culture that would help her expertise. and so, with her competitive and trendy personality, she applied for an exchange student scholarship to south korea. since then, ririka has been working on her dreams step by step until even elle korea has seen great potential on her.
a. i have been in the industry since my early years in university. if i need to specifically count, 4 years then, 4 years now, a total of 8 years!
b. i have been so attached to fashion magazines since i was young. i followed all the japanese trends as young as 13 years old, so you can say it's my childhood dream that brought me here.
c. it is true that i could've chosen another place, another magazine, or even go back to japan. but i have fallen in love in the style and variety that south korea offers. with competitive industries such as the fashion world, i need to be in the best magazine to be the best stylist, right?
d. i was thinking about an opportunity of a project that enables elle korea's styling team to style a particular department for a week, for a whole month. there will be particular departments we can take on every week and dress them for that whole working week! it would be so much fun!
