family background: born to the most regular middle-class family, very loved child no trauma (slay), one older brother (beomgyu) who is a junior at the school, it is a miracle that she got into this school, her and her brother have different last names because their parents were quirky and decided to have each of their kid take a different surname, so no one suspects that theyre siblings.

back story: 
 from elementary school to high school, it could be said that yujin had a sports addiction. she was in almost every sports team - volleyball, tennis, soccer, track, swimming, skiing, and snowboarding. if it was fun, she was in it. her schedule consisted of going to sports meets and sports practice almost everyday in her school life. however, out of all the sports, she enjoyed one particularly the most and that was skiing. she loved the feeling of gliding down the snow mountains, the cold wind hitting her face, the feeling of her body landing on snow when she falls, it was all just so fun for her. she ended up becoming super hyperfixated on skiing, leading to more formal lessons and school competitions where she placed first several of times and as a result, got her noticed by national team recruiters. when she first got recruited by the national team she was 15. she practiced diligently everyday to try to qualify for the Olympics in the Freestyle Skiing category. while practicing, the skiiers would enter different skiing competitions as competition practice and yujin always placed on the podium whether it was 1st, 2nd, or 3rd. however, during her last and final competition at age 18 leading up to the Olympics qualifier, she suffered an injury. she experienced a severe meniscus tear, which put her into weeks of surgery and recovery. however, yujin didn't want to give up on the qualifiers that were coming soon and out of pure determination, she went through with the qualifier and ended up qualifying for a spot in the Skiing Olympics team. however, the practice for the qualifiers and the actual qualifiers put so much strain on her knees and damaged her knees further, leading to more serious treatments. the doctor told her that to prevent further complications, she should withdraw from the Olympics this time around and focus on healing. this ultimately led to the end of her competitive skiing career.
so this may explain how she got into haneul!!! she's a scholarship student based on an athletics scholarship. 
she still plays sports, but recreationally and not in a team. 
this lore may also explain why she's a slacker in school :3 xDDd (but don't try to fix her guys, she's still thriving)

school life: barely passing her classes, just wants to play sports (she is not a pro athlete though just a sports enjoyer), in school for friends rather than an education, good at presentations,  puts effort only in group projects because she feels bad if she lets the team down-- designated presenter, she is ANYWHERE but the classroom 
part-time: she works as a front desk worker at the school's gymnasium. she manages the bookings of the gymnasium and often times prioritizes her own bookings (secretly), rather than studying during down time.. she can be seen scrolling and laughing away at tiktoks on her phone

funfacts:
has a drivers license but drives like she's in gta
always on her phone, epitome of an ipad kid (this is also when she is the quietest and most reserved)
she wants to be a middle school p.e teacher
she owns a dog (it's a family dog, a pekingese called Short King) that she sometimes sneak on campus 
her tiktok addict brother posts her on his tiktok which results in random upperclassmen asking her if she's the girl in his tiktoks (she always says no.. but they know)
qualified for the Olympics for Freestyle Skiing, but withdrew due to severe injury 
yujin regularly stalks people's social medias and she's not shy about liking and commenting on stranger's posts without knowing them.

- ride or die roommates (/1): you guys are roommates and you guys are both troublemakers. what if we attach a rope ladder to our window for our breaking curfew sneak-ins? or climb up the roof of the dorm building and run around?
- fire culprit (/1): there have been 10 fire alarms this past month in your dorm hall. you're sick of it. who was causing it! you were about to get right down to the cause of it as you pull up to the kitchen to watch the culprit. ahn yujin walks in. she boils water. she sits on her phone. 20- 30- minutes.. isn't something burning? 
- passenger victim #2 (1/1 jang wonyoung): you needed to buy a few things for your dorm but there was no cheap and convenient way for you to bring it back. wait doesn't ahn yujin have a car? maybe she could take you!
