Bang Yongguk cannot remember much of his childhood. The things he can remember appear as nightmares. A gun to his head. Someone he loved breathing their last breath. His hands shoking the life out of someone who only had love for him.

Yongguk's past was filled with pain and violence so much that in the year 2016 he found himself taking in a human child. A part of him unable to watch the homeless child slowly die. Yongguk found himself mellowing out as he looked after the human child. Years past as Yongguk spoiled the human and helped them grow into a decent person. He even set aside a fortune for the human. However once the wars started Yongguk tried to shield and protect the human. It didn't end well. The human was taken from him. It's been years since he's seen his human child.

He works nights as a bartender. This allows him to steals sips of blood from the drunk customers.

Yongguk has a dislike for romantic gestures when it comes to women. He knows that if it comes to it then he could sleep with women. He would find no joy in it though. This he knows stems from some sort of abuse but he purposefully represses it. Yongguk doesn't want to remember it. He is better when it comes to men in both romantic and ual ways. Given his past, Yongguk doesn't understand how to be gentle in the bedroom.

He tends to stay by himself as Yongguk has anixety. He starts to feel panic attacks bubble up if too many people are around him.
