Right after the war ended, a female Wen named Wen Jiyuan, injured and wounded, she was an omega, one of the weaker ones the whole pack despised as they do not tolerate weaker members as one of them. She fled and took shelter in a cave, unknown to her she was already in Gusu Lan's territory. The Lan father took his little daughter to his home, whom he already had taken vows with a Lan omega. Deeply betrayed by the Lan father's infidelity, she despised and mistreated Joohyun as she grew up. Their son who was born in the same year as Joohyun, Lan Sehun felt no grudge towards her as he wanted to have a sibling of his own.

So her father gave her a pair of gray contact lenses, Joohyun put one contact on her left eye that is still have red hues on it. However, someone had dropped the lies and called upon the council of Gusu Lan. They had discovered Lan Hyunjung's tainted secret which bore a child with the blood of them and their enemies, Qishan Wen. Their father faced the trials head on, knowing full well of his sins and the rule he broke. A few years went by, Joohyun tried her best to get rid of herself. Hanging, jumping in an icy lake, a blade to her neck. Yet Hela, the wolf who wanted nothing but destruction, wanted to keep her alive. Every moment Joohyun is in the verge of death, she came crawling to shift into her wolf, threatening to take over her body. Joohyun always jumps back to hold her off, failing to escape the world by the death.

However, at one point, Joohyun went to Nightless City. She wanted to know of her Wen mother's origin, she encountered Wen patrols. They saw that Joohyun is a Lan and wanted to take her in but one of them said they should not take prisoners, so they beaten Joohyun to the point that death is about to give her the passage to the afterlife. Hela took control and it sets off a power-hungry wolf and it killed most of the Wen guards.

She woke up in a barren lands of the Nightless City, all bloodied and she knew she had done something. Joohyun fled back to Cloud Recesses only to be witnessed by Lan guards and her cursed left red eye, they took her into questioning. Joohyun knew she broke the rules and she has been living under that broken rule all her life. Now she was trialed to be executed, just like her father.

By the time of her execution, she knew her fate will be done, looking at how many guards are around her. It will surely kill her and Hela, and she will be at peace. She knew all along, to live as a stain would only tarnish their family's reputation, however she never hate those who had condemned her. Her father's words resonated within her, she bore no hate. To be executed is to finally cleanse the name of their pack.

She closed her eyes and accepted her fate...

But fate itself knew all along, life is precious despite the tragedy that fell upon them.

Joohyun studied hard back in Fenrir Academy despite wanting to drop out but she thrived and graduated. She eventually took literacy studies before she became a wise core head teacher in Fenrir Academy.

As the sibling of fenrir himself, hela is the complete opposite of her brother. She is cunning, manipulative and pure evil, she wanted to be a god, but fenrir sees through her and shunned her away from his realm. with revenge, she became a host of one of the purebloods, a wen, hela whispered to her. telling whispers of war and destruction that lead to countless of wars in the past. hela is the epitome of destruction and vengeance. However, among the countless of host she had possessed, she chose the 'weaker' one. lan joohyun, it was time for hela to take over her body once she is in her weakest point. She can finally be free and wreck havoc on what fenrir had made.
