born and raised in seoul, since a young age, chanyeol has been a fan of music and animals. making them both a large part of his life -- even until now. in 2008 he became a trainee under sm entertainment where he trained for four years before debuting into exo in 2012. in 2019, him and fellow exo member sehun debuted in a subunit named exo-sc. following that, in 2021, chanyeol enlisted in the military, climbing the ranks quite easily. he was discharged in 2022 as a Sergeant. in 2025, he made his solo debut and currently is a rapper, singer-songwriter, producer and actor still under sm entertainment.
