ʙᴀᴄᴋɢʀᴏᴜɴᴅ　⟢　Alice Jung is from Gangnam, South Korea and has a younger brother. Her parents were never supportive of her becoming an idol, but she decided to become one anyways. She loves being in Pandora and even though she's a tiny bit more introverted usually, being in Pandora gives her the confidence to be more extroverted.

Her dad is a truck driver for a water supply company and her mom who is actually Korean American works at a boutique in Gangnam. Her parents never raised her and her brother in a household where music was important, instead Alice had to get her music from school by listening to CDs and she even smuggled a CD player into the house with her brother's help. She'd see idols on TV and watch them in awe, she wanted to be like them and she'd practice singing in the shower a lot when she was growing up. There was an audition that was held at school and she ended up going and not telling her parents or her brother. She ended up passing the audition and Nova Lux's subsidiary label Cygnus wanted her as a trainee. She was shocked that they wanted a middle class Gangnam girl to be a trainee. She told her parents because she was so excited but her parents weren't happy for her, in fact they were enraged. They didn't believe in her dreams and wanted her to stop trying to live in her silly fantasy world. Alice was very upset but she wanted to chase her dreams and just because her parents didn't support her didn't mean that she would just give up. Her brother encouraged her to keep going and she did, she ended up being a trainee and moving out of the house to pursue her dream. She worked hard and her hard work paid off in the form of her debuting as "Vanity" in Pandora or better known by her stage name Star.

She's very good at singing, writing lyrics as well as choreographing and her second love after being in Pandora is producing music which she's very good at. Her first language is Korean but she's very fluent in English due to her mom's insistence that she and her brother learn English. Star is also fluent in Japanese and speaks a little bit of Spanish and French but she's not fluent in either language as of yet.
