Jung Seojun was born at 18:47 in Yeongwol, South Korea, as an only child, and that’s where he grew up. His parents were absent for most of his life, too preoccupied with their own issues and careers to provide Seojun with the guidance or support any parent should. Instead, he was raised by his aunt, who willingly took him in and supported him as if he were her own. She was the one who introduced Seojun to music, gifting him a guitar at a young age and teaching him how to play it. As he grew older, she even enrolled him in other musical and vocal lessons after quickly recognizing his talent and passion for music.

When Seojun expressed his desire to audition for an entertainment company as a child, his aunt wanted to support him but couldn’t directly take him without consulting his biological parents first, as they still retained all legal rights over him. Unfortunately, this led to conflict. Seojun’s parents refused to let him audition, dismissing his aspirations as a “pipe dream” with no real potential. They were the type of parents who wanted their child to focus on academics and pursue a prestigious career, such as law or medicine.

Frustrated by their indifference to their own child’s dreams, Seojun’s aunt decided to take matters into her own hands. She brought him to the city for an audition, telling him that if he passed, she would handle the rest.

It was a long and winding journey for Seojun to join Novis Lux, but when he finally succeeded, his life changed in more ways than one. His parents, unwilling to have a child they considered a “failure” tied to their name, signed over their parental rights. Seojun was officially adopted by his aunt, and at the age of 11, he even took her last name, Han, making it official.

At 19, just as Seojun was on the verge of debuting, he was diagnosed with a heart condition that required months of hospitalization. His life became a cycle of hospital stays and recovery, but despite everything, he remained determined to achieve his goal. Once he regained his full health, with precautions in place, Seojun returned to training, hopeful and resolute in his dream of debuting soon.
