During his absence, a group of humans discovered their hidden home. They barred the doors and set the cabin ablaze, trapping Jaemin's parents inside. Returning home to find his home engulfed in flames and the humans watching, Jaemin witnessed the horrific deaths of his parents, and the realization of just how cruel humans could be. The trauma of that night, the loss of his parents, and the abject evil he witnessed, left him consumed by grief, rage, and a deep-seated hatred for humanity.
