Oh Jiyong was born in Seoul, South Korea in 1992. However, after the birth of his younger brother in 1994, their family had picked up and moved to Duke the following year. 

Jiyong had always had an interest in music, visiting record shops with his father and learning how to play the guitar and piano when he was 6. Jiyong had a close relationship with his parents, even after their eventual divorce when he was 10 years old and his father moved back to Seoul. Jiyong would see him every summer.

At this time, Jiyong also became interested in radio, and he would help out at his school's radio and would help DJ school dances.

He met Han Miro when he was 17 years old in entering university (Jiyong became a communications major, his mother not allowing him to be a music major), the two became close friends. They would eventually start a band together, but it remained an underground thing, though Jiyong wished to make it his full-time thing. 

However, after graduation, Jiyong and Miro were working at a radio station, but they were also offered a record deal. Jiyong and Miro decided to go their separate ways but remained in contact.

While Jiyong was achieving his dream, it was not as easy as it seemed. Jiyong garnered a very small following, but was unable to hit mainstream or get a loyal or major fanbase. This eventually lead to Jiyong being dropped by his record label. 

Jiyong went to Miro to see if he could get his job back at the radio station, and if he could stay with him as Jiyong was struggling to make ends meet. The two would often record their talks or shenanigans and post them on social media, leading to them going viral on multiple occasions. The radio station then offered them a segment / show of their own, which has now become a hit.

Writing & Plotting Style

•.*★ writing style。 i do para to novella, and only write in 3rd pov. you don't have to match my style, but i prefer you to try to mirror me or put some form of effort into it. i AM a yapper so i tend to go overboard, esp w starters, so i don't mind if you reply to my reply with less as long as it's still like, idk, a good amount. 

•.*★ plotting style。 i would prefer if you came to me with a plot in mind, and i will try and do the same. plotting is usually not too hard for me to do, but sometimes i can get quite stumped. winging is fine, but i am still quite new to it so it can blind-side me a bit ghjfd.

•.*★ overall。 i'm not SUPER flexible but i don't mind working in ways that are like, very different and don't really conjoin well together. dont be overwhelmed by my length, it's mostly just nonsense i just go off sometimes. i don't mind if you don't send 1k back fdjhgsd.

•.*★ important。 i am SLOW. and i mean SLOW. sometimes i forget (esp starters) but most of the time, i am just not in the mood to write. feel free to poke me esp if its a starter, just do it politely, i tend to just forget to write it down that i have to do it.

i am a busy person, both in general and in my own head. sometimes i come to rpr to chat or to just look around. i try to make sure all of my threads are down chronologically, but sometimes i will prioritize some over others due to muse, but honestly, i will take weeks, soemtimes a month. i try not to take more than a month but sometimes it just... happens :x

i prefer to write in rooms to keep us and the rp open, but when it comes to triggering things or things w especially, i prefer those stay in pms (pref group so we can keep pm line of communication open).
