Rumored to come from royalty, Mika always had it easy from the beginning. She was the only child and daughter after all, not to mention her family had a incredibly rare last name in Japan’s current society. Even with a plethora of privileges, they were paired with disadvantages, one being a coveted trust fund kid who continues to prove themselves worthy of success on their own accord — a “nepo baby” in modern slang.
Despite the many accolades she’d received from school, people still had this perception of her mainly because she was recognized as a socialite. Mika was different and she knew that, the people closest to her too. So as much as it would a delight to stop needing to prove herself, it was a never ending battle.
Above all this burden, she was still sociable, kind, and would be the type to give you the shirt off her back if need be. Somehow this was a double edged sword since people would take advantage of her sometimes but she never faltered. She sparkled everywhere she went and maybe that’s why she was rumored to be a princess or duchess. She was definitely for the people.
