Short Bio . . . profile coming soon.

solange always had the dreams of being something, her younger self didn't know what that was then, being something in her small town meant being the strawberry queen of the year or simply moving away to the suburbs. in honey island, the waters were murky with mud, critters, rotted tree roots and the waters moved slow with the alligators waiting to feed on fishermen or tourists who came to see them in their boats. it was a bayou town solange wanted to leave behind at any cost. her father was a fisherman and her mother was a linecook at the nearest restaurant outside their town, and solange was the only child. the three of them together was a dream and a nightmare, each of the them fiercely independent, opinionated, and always wanting the last word. the tension would ebb and flow inside the home but they always came together, especially when a hurricane did away with their town. it was a curse to the community but a blessing to the outsiders who tried to buy the properties from the people. solange ended up in aryton with the money paid out by relief programs while her parents stayed in florida, they claimed there were better school systems there but solange had no interest in such, she was old enought to know they just couldn't take care of her. solange lived with her spiritually inclined aunt who loved the arts, neo soul, and bossa nova. thanks to her aunt she saw a world outside of the depths of the bayou she used to call home.
