character biography
Junho grew up in Ayrton surrounded by the forever churning hum of washing machines and the warm chatter of loyal customers that flocked to his family’s laundromat business. His parents poured their hearts into Baek’s Cleaners, which served the community for over three decades, and started from humble beginnings when the city was but a small seaside town.

As a child, he spent his days helping with small chores at the laundromat, folding and ironing clothes while chatting with the regulars who were like an extended family. His parents envisioned a stable life in the future where he would take over the family business and sustain it with pride and honor. However, Junho’s aspirations leaned more on the creative side. He picked up a rather peculiar hobby and interest in sound and audio, dreaming of becoming a sound designer for movies and animation.

But, Ayrton began to thrive and with the rise of corporations that flocked to the town, it soon transformed into a bustling city. The once quiet town became a hub of thriving businesses and with it came a growing population that saw a rise in the increasing cost of living in the economy. Unable to compete with the technological growth and more convenient at-home-washing machines, the family business began to decline. Junho then set aside his dreams to take over the laundromat when his father fell ill, hoping to keep the legacy alive.

introspective, sensitive, and deeply in tune with his emotions, He values creativity and personal expression, which reflects his passion and his desire to breathe new life into the laundromat. As an ISFP, Junho thrives in environments where he can quietly observe and create, but he struggles with the pressures of external expectations, like running the family business. He’s empathetic, resourceful, and willing to take risks when it aligns with his values.

character's current state
Junho resides in a modest apartment above the laundromat, where he’s lived most of his life. The building feels like a time capsule, filled with old family photographs and memories of a simpler era. While the vibrant city buzzes around him, Junho’s world feels smaller, revolving around the shop’s day-to-day operations.

He often visits quiet places for inspiration, such as the library, the coast, the mountains, and even abandoned buildings where he listens to the natural sound of the world, imagining a future where he can merge his artistic talents with his responsibilities. Despite his busy schedule, he can be seen at Ayrton’s coffee shops and hidden galleries, finding solace in the city’s creative corners.

character's hobbies and interests
Art & Design: Junho’s first love, he enjoys drawing and creating digital art when he has free time.

Community Events: Participating in local markets and festivals to promote the laundromat while connecting with neighbors.

DIY Repairs: A practical skill he’s developed to keep the laundromat’s aging equipment running.

Guilty Pleasure: Junho has a soft spot for animated movies like Studio Ghibli films or Pixar classics. After a long day at the laundromat, he grabs a bowl of instant ramen, and gets lost in the worlds of his favorite films. It’s his way of reconnecting with his creative side and finding comfort in nostalgia.

OUT OF CHARACTER
the writer

You may refer to me as Lark/s, Larkspur, or my character's names. If we’re close, you are welcome to use any term of endearment.

I am 21+ and prefer to interact with others who are also 21+.

I tend to write in 3rd pov, with para, novella, or mirrored responses, depending on my muse, energy, and ability to churn out replies. Please be aware that my muse and drive to write can fluctuate, though gears toward the higher side, and I often lean toward long, detailed responses. If my reply length or tendency for purple prose hinders your ability to dive into your character's headspace or engage in the story, please communicate with me. I value open and honest communication and am happy to adjust to ensure a comfortable and enjoyable experience for both of us.

do not blur the lines

please remember that i am not my character.- any emotions, dynamics, or conflicts portrayed between characters are purely for the sake of the plot and do not reflect my personal feelings or intentions. - while we may discuss pairings or character dynamics, i prefer that we maintain a friendly and respectful occ banter that doesn’t blur the lines between our characters and us.

Preferences and Writing Style

I prioritize character development and plotting over winging. I thrive in stories that focus on emotional depth and character development whether they be familial, platonic, or romantic.

While I enjoy romance and endgame pairings, I prefer when they develop naturally and align with the story's progression. Please don’t pressure me for romance or predetermined endgames if we have not written for the pairing yet, or if there was no determined direction that their connection would turn romantic in the first place.

I enjoy writing complex characters with motivations, and I appreciate when both parties contribute equally to the character arcs.

Triggers, Boundaries, and Non-Negotiables

I want to create a safe and enjoyable environment for everyone. To do so, I kindly ask you to respect the following trigger warnings and no-go plots. While I am open to exploring darker themes, I do have some firm boundaries. Please avoid or discuss with me first if your ideas include:
- ual assault, non-consensual acts, or abuse used as a plot device or for shock value.
- Graphic depictions of domestic violence or child abuse.
- Overly detailed descriptions of self-harm or suicide. (Mentions or implications may be acceptable in certain contexts, but they must be discussed and agreed on first between all parties.)
- cruelty in any form.

No-Go Plots

These are scenarios or themes I do not feel comfortable exploring under any circumstances:

- Romanticization of toxic or abusive relationships. (Conflict is fine, but it must be approached with nuance and care.)
- Plots that revolve solely around without character or story development.
- Plots involving heavy focus on ization or objectification.
- Plots that disregard or disrespect cultural, racial, or gender sensitivity.
- God-modding or writing for my character without prior discussion.

Communication and Comfort

Communication is incredibly important to me! Please feel free to voice your concerns, preferences, or ideas when we are plotting together. I want this to be a mutually enjoyable experience, and I am happy to adjust or compromise when needed.

If our thread feels stagnant or you’ve lost muse for it, let me know—I’d rather work together to find a new direction than let things fizzle out.

Final Notes

i am always open for plotting, brainstorming, or casual conversations. my goal is to create a positive and creative space where we can both feel inspired.

Please keep in mind that real life comes first, for everyone and while I may have high muse at times, there may also be periods where I need to slow down, and i do not expect anyone to keep up with my pace or to prioritize our threads.  I will communicate if delays arise.

Thank you for reading through this! If you’re unsure about anything or have any ideas you’d like to discuss, don’t hesitate to reach out. I look forward to writing with you!
