wren never understood hybrids.
he considered himself open-minded enough, went to school with hybrid classmates and had even witnessed one shift before. this didn't change his hesitation around them.
he could not bring himself to understand what he had not experienced before, that did not reflect any reality he existed in.
perhaps his feelings would change, but they had no reason to. at least for now.
