Who Am I?
kang jaeyi (fc: irene, bae joohyun). a divorce lawyer. the one that spent most of her time in her office. the one that will immediately come to help when people need her help. the one that held so many secrets beneath her emotionless facade. the one that spent her weekend on strolling in the town and would feed some stray cats or dogs. the one that would try not to cringe at people's love stories.

i don't know everything but i know how to find out everything.
b
birth
jaeyi and jaeyeon. the twins that were brought into the world. into the kang family. they were welcomed with warmth and loving from their parents. apparently, the harmonious image of the kang family was only a cover. the so called loving family didn't last long due to the constant arguments from their parents. the twins were often caught up in the situations, cowering in fear when things went bad. jaeyi, as the older one, tried to cover jaeyeon's ears when their parents were constantly shouting at nights and even throwing furnitures. fortunately, the nightmare didn't last too long. the parents split up. ever since then, jaeyi didn't believe the love in marriage exists. it was all lie. what's the point of being married to each other and have kids when they don't love each other? negative thoughts filled jaeyi's mind. yet their mother convinced that both of them fell out of love.
y
youth
after their parents parted ways, the twins remained close with their father. both parents vowed to themselves to give them support despite the broken marriage. until one day, the twins got news of their father passing. a sudden news that shattered the twins' world. jaeyi was numb with sorrow, she couldn't think but to escape from the grief. she focused on her studies and got herself enrolled in a famous law school. however, jaeyeon, the youngest one, stayed behind and took care of her mother. jaeyi admitted that it was a cowardice move for her to leave everything behind to comfort herself. she tried to stay strong for the sake of jaeyeon and her mom, but instead she fled away. jaeyi rarely came home, too busy with her studies, that caused her relationship with her dearest family fractured. little that they know, jaeyi had a family picture hidden in her diary. the picture that kept her strong till now. jaeyi and jaeyeon grinned widely at the camera while standing behind their parents and embracing both of them with their arms. the parents themselves tried not to be awkward. but they still kept smiling throughout the family picture. it was the best day for jaeyi and jaeyeon — their graduation day during high school. a week before their father's accident.
p
present
a single call from her mom made her came to wineport. where her younger twin was. just to check on her after the divorce. although she claimed that she had no time for that, she silently rented an apartment just to be close to her twin. she could handle work remotely and had to go back to the city for the courts. jaeyi knew that she had to make bigger efforts to reconcile with jaeyeon, her twin and also her kid to make up for lost times. driving back and forth to the city was tiring one. but she found herself loving wineport, the small town. the air was unpolluted. the sea was so clear. the people were nice. she loved this town.

Act One — Personality
kang jaeyi was a woman of actions. she preferred to show her affections through actions then words. she was an awkward person at first until she decided to open up. an awkward one that never hesitated to help when she saw one. she never showed her emotions around strangers, her expression was completely impassive. it was just a habit that she developed after years in her workplace. after all, she was just a clumsy but a soft hearted person that mustered up a wall to protect herself from any troubles.
Act Two — Appearance
jaeyi was often found, donned with professional work suits during weekdays. sets of tailor-made suits were her pride. single or double ed blazers, precisely tailor-made pants with a pair of heels. the only jewelries that could be found on jaeyi's finger and ears, a ring and small diamond earrings along with a small slim Cartier watch with leather band. during weekends, she tended to wear comfortable shirts, a pair of jeans, and a pair of converse slip-ons. she was often mistaken as a university student with the outfits she wore during weekends or holidays.
Act Three — hobby
jaeyi loved books, especially horror or thriller books. no offense but she would brisk past the romance section with an almost comical speed. she would pay no attention to it as she found it unnecessary to indulge such emotions. jaeyi also loved watching movies, as the genres were pretty similar to the books. during her day offs, she would also spend her time in honing her cooking, painting, and driving skill. she loved trying new things.
