history
Decades ago, in a faraway underwater kingdom nestled deep within the warm, azure waters of the southern seas, the esteemed wife of the revered General and advisor to the King gave birth to a pair of twins. The couple shared a close friendship with the benevolent Queen and King, who ruled over this enchanting realm. The kingdom was celebrated for its breathtaking coral reefs that shimmered like jewels beneath the ocean waves and teemed with vibrant marine life, from schools of colorful fish darting playfully among the corals to graceful sea turtles gliding serenely through the crystal-clear waters.

The twins grew up beautifully, loved and doted on, each blossoming into their own unique paths, much to everyone's surprise. It was the older sister who chose to follow in their father's footsteps, striving to join the military ranks with determination that shone as bright as her spirit. Their father, a seasoned warrior himself, trained her meticulously in the complexities of military strategies and politics. He honed her skills with the precision of shaping a fine sword.

Meanwhile, the younger brother, Nunew, found his joy in the world of finer arts. He immersed himself in the delicate craft of embroidery, creating pieces adorned with intricate gorgeous patterns. His hands, nimble and skilled, crafted exquisite jewelry that sparkled with the promise of beauty. Dancing became his second nature, each movement fluid and full of grace, while his singing voice was an enchanting melody.

At first, the citizens of the kingdom and the royal family scrutinized their choices, puzzled by their break from traditional norms. However, Nunew’s sister, with unwavering resolve and skill, quickly proved herself one of the best in the ranks. She climbed the military ladder and despite her youth and gender, she earned the prestigious position of royal guard to none other than the crown prince. Meanwhile, Nunew became celebrated as the epitome of beauty and grace. His enchanting singing voice, his graceful dancing was a feast for the eyes, and his designs in embroidery and jewelry were admired by many.

One day, the noble family received a gilded invitation to a grand ball in a distant kingdom. Nunew felt a surge of excitement, eager to attend the lavish event, while his sister chose to retreat to her private chamber in the guard quarters, showing no signs of desire to attend the festivities. Ultimately, their mother decided to take Nunew with her, leaving the father and daughter behind in the comfort of their underwater home.

As they journeyed to the foreign kingdom, Nunew, usually composed and graceful, was brimming with glee—this was his first venture beyond the depths of the sea. The young siren couldn't resist the allure of the world passing by, his eyes wide with wonder as he gazed out the carriage window at the lush greenery and the vast, cerulean sky, the refreshing breeze caressing his smooth skin. Upon their arrival, the sight of the grand palace left him awestruck; it was an architectural marvel, far larger and more opulent than their modest underwater kingdom.

On the night of the grand ball, he donned his finest robe, an exquisite garment crafted from the softest white silk, elegantly adorned with lustrous pearls and shimmering opals that caught the light with every movement. His flawless, porcelain-like skin was delicately dusted with a pearlescent, shimmering powder that made him glow ethereally under the ballroom’s light.

Nunew stood beside his mother and a group of ladies from another merfolk tribe, his eyes scanning the vibrant crowd, when his gaze was captured by a striking figure. A handsome man, exuding an air of authority as he gracefully moved through the room, commanding attention with his mere presence. Nunew found himself utterly captivated, unable to tear his eyes away. In that moment, the young siren felt his heart stir with an unfamiliar intensity—love at first sight for a prince from this foreign kingdom bloomed in his innocent heart.

The morning after the dazzling ball, Nunew was lost in a haze of daydreams, his thoughts consumed by visions of 'his handsome prince.' The siren, usually brimming with confidence, had found himself overwhelmed with shyness, too timid to inquire about the prince's name or muster the courage to approach the enchanting man who had so thoroughly captured his heart.

On their way back, the mother and son duo had to take an alternate route home when the main roads were obstructed by a large fallen tree, its branches sprawling over the cobblestones. The carriage rattled along the uneven path, its wheels clattering noisily until, without warning, it came to a jarring halt. Nunew nearly toppled off the bench as the abrupt stop sent a shudder through the vehicle. Everything happened in a blur; they were ambushed by a band of men clad in gleaming black armor, their faces obscured by masks that rendered them faceless phantoms. The air was filled with the clash of metal and the cries of their guards meeting a grim fate at the hands of these shadowy assailants. Amidst the chaos, Nunew and his mother were seized, their freedom snatched away as they found themselves captives of the mysterious attackers.

Suddenly, Nunew's world faded to black as he lost consciousness. When he awoke, he was surrounded by an array of stunningly attractative young women and men, their faces a blur as dizziness and confusion clouded his mind. Before he could fully grasp his surroundings, darkness enveloped him once more. Upon his second awakening, Nunew found himself in a luxurious yet ominous place called the 'Black Lotus Lounge.' The room was adorned with rich, dark fabrics and the scent of exotic incense filled the air. As reality settled in, he learned with mounting dread that he had been sold into slavery. The sheer horror of this revelation was beyond imagination, yet a flicker of hope lingered in his heart—his father would surely come to rescue him and his mother. However, his fragile hope was shattered upon discovering that his mother was no longer by his side, having been sent to an unknown location.

While working at the 'Black Lotus Lounge,' the young siren found guidance from an older woman who had been there for years and asked him to call her 'Big Sis.' She helped him understand how to handle the environment there. It was Big Sis who taught him to discreetly drug clients seeking 'intimate services' to protect himself from harm. Nunew would serve these customers alcohol until they were intoxicated, then drug them so they would fall into a deep sleep, leaving the next morning blissfully ignorant that they had never received the intimate attention they sought from the enchanting siren. Throughout those nights, Nunew still yearned for his father or 'his handsome prince' to rescue him, even though he knew the latter was a naive and fanciful hope, as the prince from his past was unaware of his existence.

Years passed, and Nunew's hope of rescue slowly withered like a flower deprived of sunlight. The Black Lotus Lounge became his gilded cage, a place where he sang and danced for the pleasure of others, his beauty a double-edged sword that both protected and imprisoned him. His patrons showered him with gifts and adoration, but none could fill the longing in his heart.
