Description
Lee Jieun | 18 | Master
Formulas, researches and equations are all that filled Jieun's head. Study all day, study all night. Nothing and nobody can but herself separate her from her study desk, which always had a special essay requested by the teacher, dreadfully long homework or science investigations messily placed on it. She was blessed with lovely looks, yet a book is always in front of her face, even as she walked. In clearer words, she was a bright student who sought for more academic recognition.
Fun was a foreign word to her. Friends mean project groupmates. She was lonely, but she didn't care much either. She had her family, and she had to live up to their expectations. Her father, the CEO, and her mother, who worked as his secretary. That was enough for her.
She had graduated earlier than the rest of her age group, starting to work in her family's company, working her way up to the higher officials.
Until one day, business rivals kidnapped her, being the daughter of the CEO. They whisked her to a faraway place, with no other means of communication with her parents. She wandered aimlessly, knocking on doors and asking for a phone, just to call her parents. When she got one, it was informed to her that both parents had gone missing too.
Homeless and worried out of her mind, she simply stalked on the streets, scavenging for food and shelter, until finally coming upon the Doll Workshop. Dolls. She never had one, though she did see her classmates play with them before. Not like she cared.
The dolls were strange, a new object to study. Out of curiosity, she opened the door, wondering if she could buy one for herself.
