kim jongin

      kim jongin, son of the roman god mercury (known as hermes in greek culture), is what his fellow
      demi-gods call a "veteran camper". at nineteen years old, he's entering his seventh year at camp
      half-blood. while he can normally be found at the beach, stables, or arena he likes to make it
      his personal business to help new campers into the transition from the world they knew to the one
      that had been made just for them. besides, unable to safely function in te mortal society, what else
      does he have to do?
 
      the god mercury was known for being the patron god of financial gain, commerce, eloquence
      (and thus poetry), messages/communication (including divination), travelers, boundaries, luck,
      trickery and thieves; he was also the guide of souls to the underworld. as his son jongin, admittedly,
      has a deadly obsession with riches, a pesuasive quality about him, has high athletic ability, the
      ability to teleport at will, skill as a lock picker, a habit of cheating and the stickiest fingers you
      will ever see, not to mention a natural alchemist and the ability to sense physical traps.
