From a very young age, Taemin was recognised for his good looks and shining personality and these things got him far, combined with his hard work and sharp mind, he was the top of his class by the time he graduated but not without making a few enemies. Unfortunately, some things just don't seem to like to last long at all, do they? After spending an evening with his much loved girlfriend, Taemin was phoned an hour later as he was told she had been kidnapped and was being held for ransom, but if he wanted her back, he wasn't just to pay any ransom. Being only seventeen at the time and more than scared, he did as the men asked, to give his body to them as they did with it what they pleased. Being the cruel and sick people they were, Taemin's old enemies turned out to be his girlfriend's captors, forced to watch as they beat her and him, the young man cried for eons after they shot his beloved....

Two years on and people still wonder why the boy is so cold and distant at first, he refuses to tell anyone of what happened that night and still visits his lost love's grave now and then when he feels he has the courage to. Now Taemin is nineteen years young and hasn't had a solid relationship since, of course he's had dates with men and women and filled his nights with passionate but, thing is, he isn't looking for a solid relationship as such because he learnt a long time ago not to put your heart into those kinds of situations again. What does he do now? The young man sought an escape from his torturous past and found it through the art of dancing as well as a change of scenery as he left his old home to live at The Rising Sun Academy's surrounding town. But if there's one thing about Taemin that you really should know, it's that above a lot of things, he hates being mistaken for a girl as it reminds him of what he lost all those years ago.
