Siwon was an angel by birth and raised with the love and adoration all children deserve. He was lucky and from his heavily Christian upbringing, he naturally followed suit and didn't see the option to be anything other than Christian. A stubborn, very Christian angel at that. HIs sheltered childhood meant that he was kind and playful, always wanting to spread the word of god to anyone who would listen... And many who wouldn't.
He lost many friends like this, but stubborn as he was, he didn't think he had done anything wrong in trying to convert them against their will. As he grew older he became marginly more tolerant in this respect. He was always, however, happy to accept demons. They were one of god's creations after all, so he was adament that at least some of them must be good. And some of them were.
First, he made friends with Hangeng, who we'll come back to and second, a playful demon, Choi Junhong, who taught him to make animals from his water control that moved and bounded like the real thing. Sure Junhong was a troublemaker, but the boy was more than accepting of Siwon being an angel and in awe of his time control. The two of them explored both sides of the map - demon and angel. Choi Junhong was interesting to him in particular as he himself was dating an angel, Choi Minki.

Then Hangeng. He met Hangeng a few times... In fact, this is where he behaved least like an angel. He forcably took the demon, both against his will and against the demon/angel law passed that no cross-breeding was allowed. Which he well knew from the fights Junhong and Minki had battled against the head angel Kim Kibum, who supported the law as Siwon supported Christanity. But against the odds and his unforgivable behaviour, the two of them became friends. Then more than friends. Siwon fell for Hangeng like a ton of bricks, the demon was so kind, forgiving and suffering under the racism of the angels and demon's alike.
Hangeng though, was popular it seemed and Siwon wasn't the only one interested in him. As a matter of fact, he wasn't even the first to confess. An aquaintance to him and a suitably demon man approached Hangeng first. Initially cold, so much so that Siwon wasn't all that interested at him at first, Minho was a man of few words, warmed to Hangeng so much that he was the man to confess and ... the man Hangeng chose over Siwon and Hangeng's best friend Heechul, who both also had come to adore the sweet, soft-spoken demon and his jet-black wings.
Having grown very fond of Hangeng at this point, genuinely loving him, Siwon was heartbroken. He grew sick and sicker, hiding it as best he could as his beautiful white wings started to decay. Minho and Hangeng grew closer, Minho had saved him from his attempted suicide attempt and Hangeng, smitten and slowly healing, returned to his infuriatingly cold lover, talk of marriage came soon after. Siwon found less and less reason to be alive, already losing his wings and now seeing the love of his life to marry another, he struggled to hold on. He collapsed, found by Minho who, despite his cold exterior, tried his best to comfort the fallen angel in his last hours, however late they may have been. The angel died in his arms, the last of his feathers finally falling as the other allowed him to rest for good.

This was only the beginning of a new story however. Watching over the now heavily pregnant Hangeng, he listened to the other's prayers. The man had felt him die and no matter how hard he'd tried to hide it, had known when he had gone. And unknown to himself, the child in Hangeng's body was his own. Devastated by the lost of the other man of his life and his past lover, the fragile Hangeng grew sick again, barely pulling through this time to birth and raise the child he knew to be Siwon's.Or at least suspected...The half-angel had taken many of his father's traits on, despite Minho's best attempts to raise the son as his own, seemingly unaware that it wasn't. When Minho found out, already seemingly struggling with much of their life together inspite of his paternal feelings for the child, he simply left. As many do after finding they've been raising another's child in the place of their own.
At this stage, Siwon had been pleading with the gods to return his life on earth. He'd give anything to be able to take action to the prayers Hangeng had sobbed to him since he had left, in the vain hope that he might here them. He had heard them. And knowing the one he felt was his other half was in so much pain, heaven became a personal hell. At long last, after years of these begging episodes, they relented. In exchange, Siwon would give up what he valued most - Angelhood. His wings were to darken to mud grey, not even the beautiful black he had seen on Hangeng, but the colour of filth. He agreed without a second thought.
What he didn't know, is that gods can be kind. Seeing him selflessly sacrifice an eternity in Paradise to care for the one he loved, they returned to him not only his life on earth, his past lover and his young child, but bestowed apon him silver wings with each feather outlined gracefully in gold. He returned to earth and struggled to find his way, but with Hangeng and Jinwoo now in his life, Hangeng being the first to discover his silver wings, Siwon has a bright future and a lot of hope in mind for his new life among those he calls his family.
What happened to Minho...? We don't know yet. Perhaps we'll find out.
