Introduction

Bring a princess at an era like this...was it really everything? To Jieun, it wasn't. Although she was a royal princess, she preferred being something..less extravagant but she couldn't because it was already her fate and destiny to be a princess ever since the beginning of time.

Most of the time, people couldn't see through her happy facade she had put up. Her smiles never reached her eyes nor was it from the very bottom of her heart. It was forced. She wasn't truly happy. She merely smiled because she had to. She never had a reason to smile genuinely to anyone who didn't even bother so why should she?

In the past, Jieun was someone carefree and..naive. She was friendly and always always cheerful. It was always as if she always looked at the bright side of things but she changed. After her biological older sister's death, she became someone quiet and.. mysterious. Someone who was colder to people rather than that happy-go-lucky person she was.

Innocence. That was something Jieun still had. ity? She still has it intact fortunately. She didn't plan on losing it to just anyone. She wanted to find that one person who she deemed perfect, the person she would fall in love with.

Back when Jieun was little, she was taken away from her parents' arms and into the Land of the Rising Sun. She was just 7 at that time. Although the Emperor and Empress tried to warm her up to them, they couldn't because of her coldness and her quietness.

Butterflies. That's the odd feeling Jieun would get every single time she was around him. She would feel flutters in her stomach. She would turn pink at even the slightest smile he sent. Even if it wasn't to her. However, the one thing that hurts is the fact that they can never be together.

He was weird and creepy. Well, at least to the young princess who always saw him lurking about wherever she went. It was scary to know that someone was watching you while you were out and about on your own business.

Because Jieun was so quiet, nobody knew she was a princess who had been stolen from her parents' arms so when he met her, he thought she was a geisha at first glance considering some geishas also wear extremely luxurious clothings.

Jieun enjoyed reading very very much and would often just get into the zone. However, ever since this person came along, they would pester her to the point she wanted to just tear her hair out. Every single time she tries to read, this person would begin talking to her loudly and try everything to get her attention. Why? Because secretly, deep inside this person is lonely and just wants a friend.

Although Jieun was cold to them at first, they still approached her and accepted her for who she is. They understood her and knew why she behaved lke that so they tried their best to get her to open up to them.
