personality.
When meeting L, the initial impression is that he's cold. However, he's not 
really that cold ice prince that people mistake him for. He is actually a very
nice and caring person, just that he tends not to be very friendly when he 
first meets someone. This is because due to his extremely heightened five
senses, he finds a lot of things irritating. Even small sounds are loud to him,
and even a small touch gives him a whole array of different sensations that 
a person with normal senses would not be able to feel. Therefore, he tends
to distance himself from many people. This is another reason why he works
at the library. It is the perfect environment for him - very quiet and relatively
clean. He doesn't have to deal with useless chatter that he can hear from far
away, and he can also engross himself with books that he had always found
fascinating even as during his childhood.Once you get to know him and he
also feels comfortable by being with you, he'll crack smiles more often and
be quite playful. 

history.
L wasn't born in the city of Elysium. He lived with his parents outside of the city
for half of his life, but moved when he was 15. Hearing about it from his childhood
best friend L.Joe, they moved here together hoping to find a better and more 
welcoming community for their uniqueness. Ever since then, they have lived in 
Elysium as residents. His name wasn't originally L, however. He changed his 
name as soon as he moved because he wanted to start over his life. Ever since
then, L.Joe and his parents, who call sometimes, are the only people who L lets
call him by his real name - Kim Myungsoo.
