Background; Currently living on Jeju Island, Wu Yifan was a twenty two year old that went by the name of Kris. He worked as a waiter for a famous restaurant, helping the owner lure in wealthy women with his tall, handsome features and mysterious aura. He didn't mind; he liked the tip. However, it was only his part-time job. When the clock strike ten, he was off to being a bartender on the rooftop, changing his whole appearance from the neat suit to a more messy look; ruffled hair and buttons on his dress shirt opened to reveal his upper torso. Everyday went repeated for Kris, over and over again, even on the weekends, he never got rest. He wished that he was able to sit down and relax for once, but being a lazy wouldn't be able to pay for the hospital bills. His mother was sick after Kris' father left them for a younger wife. Even though Mr. Wu was rich and owned a resort in Jeju and one in Seoul, he couldn't even give Kris a dime for he and his mother to pass the day by. He hated his father with a fiery passion. With the two jobs, he hoped that it would be enough for him to pay for the small apartment he called home and to take care of Mrs. Wu without having to ask his dad for money.
Character; Kris isn't the nice guy that his mother wished for him to be, in fact, he was the total opposite. He was blunt, direct, and never cared if his words might hurt other's feelings. He didn't have time to worry about little things like that. He was a total flirt, a skill that he learned from his two jobs , which came quite in handy in many situations he met. Though he preffered guys over girls, he had to keep his orientation quiet when he was at work. Love? He's not interested, not after what happened with his ex. The one who he cherished so much had broken his heart badly and Kris was never the same with anyone again. Both men and women who asked him out was brutally rejected by Kris. He saw everyone as the same person, nothing more, nothing less; just human. He mostly grins when he's forced to, but if someone could make him smile, they should consider themselves lucky to get such expressions from him.
