Son Ga In

She had the name of a prestigious, pure-blood family; however, she was not one herself. Gain was shunned from her family, for she was a half-breed, a half-blood, and it didn’t sit well with her father’s family.

She became embarrassed with being half veela because of her family’s treatment to her and hid it no matter what.  Being the tainted of the family, Ga In was sent away and grew up with two muggles, whom she referred to as her grandparents.

She had never met her mother, but when it was time to get her first wand, Gain found out why. Her mother had plucked one of her hairs to be the core of Gain’s wand, causing her to ultimately die. Needless to say, Gain treasures her wand and will protect it with her life.

When Gain got accepted to Slytherin, that was the last straw for her family, and they cut all ties to her (no matter how small). Except her father, who kept a secret and rare contact with her.
