One day she got in a arguement with her and all the anger and jelousy that she kept inside finally came out when she took a knife and stabbed Crystal 31 times, hidding her body in the attic of her home until her mother and father went up to see what the horrible smell was.

She didn't want to kill her she loved her sister but you got to what you got to do. So she believes her sister is still alive inside her and pretends shes her and not dealing with the fact the she killed her and shes died.
