Ok Taecyeon was not always the outgoing, handsome and charming man he is today. He actually was quite the opposite as a child, in fact up until he was eighteen. See, Taecyeon always had the burden of being an adopted child, not knowing the parents that gave birth to him, in his opinion was like being broken glass, and your pieces that make you whole are missing, possibly thrown away while you are stepped on and cursed at when you cause minor burdens to others. His life was like this; The family that adopted him consisted of three ladies, all at least five years older than Taecyeon himself, a gentle, loving and overall ideal mother, and a father who when sober was strict and demanding. When drunk was a useless , who lived soely to harm his only adopted son. Luckily, the sane part of his family was always there, with open arms and love. As the male grew older, he realized he was far more intelligent than his piers. In university, he pursued business and marketing, and took on the role of CEO of his adopted fathers company. Now with such a traditional family and a company, Taecyeon found himself being set up in an arranged marriage at only 18 years old. The woman he ws arranged with, he actually didn't mind. Her name was Hara. She was a Korean beauty, with large eyes and fair skin, seemingly like a doll with curves and was the daughter of a rich man, which was likely why he was arranged with her. But the night of their first date, the male was in for a shock that she was nothing like her adorable persona, but more of a dominant and independent woman, which was what Taecyeon loved in women- dominance and independence. Soon, he began to develop feelings for her, but called off the marriage, lying to Hara, saying he didn't feel anything for her. He only did this because he didn't want her to get married to him and not be happy, an insecurity Taecyeon had. He'd read the books after all- a man and women are arranged in marriage, follow through, fall in love, someone wants a divorce, the end. He didn't want his marriage to be a novel, and certainly didn't want Hara to have to tell her parents that she saw nothing in him. Yet he loved her... Truly.
