~Melanie Aurora Lee~

As a young girl, Melanie led a sheltered life. Her mother was a retired government spy, and her father was the leader of a dangerous and prominent gang. She was mainly raised by her mother, her dad only coming by sometimes to say hello and maybe spend the night. It was too dangerous for her dad to come to the house too often, since there was a lot of his enemies who would try to kidnap her to use as leverage against him. As a precaution, in case anything happened, Melanie's mom would call her by her middle name, Aurora. And that was what the other gang leaders and bad guys knew her by.

One day, her father had come over and Melanie was upstairs, playing in her room while her parents talked. All of a sudden, there were shouts from outside and then her mother burst into the room. Surprised, Melanie just watched as her mom grabbed the backpack they kept for emergencies like this out from in her closet and grabbed Melanie's hand. She took her to her own bedroom, with a window facing out to the forest behind the house. Her mom told her that there were bad people here now and that she had to go to their friend's house like they practiced and discussed a few times. And also that she loved her and that Melanie must stay inside the closet until she felt as if the bad people were gone, no matter what happened.

With that, her mom left the closet and Melanie was by herself in the closet, in the darkness. She listened carefully, and keep in mind, she was only 12 at the time, so she knew what she was doing. She jumped when she heard a scream and gunshots, then heard the running footsteps up the stairs. She heard the voices right outside of the closet and then she found a crack in the closet door, so she could watch what was happening. She saw her mother beat to her knees and then shot twice in the chest with a silencer so it didn't make a huge bang. Once all of the bad men had left the house, Melanie did as she was told, fighting tears as she walked past her mother's body. She fought against just curling up and crying, but she knew that wasn't what her mom wanted her to do.

Melanie went to her parents' close friends' house. They were so close they merited the title of Auntie and Uncle to Melanie. Knowing that the men were looking for Melanie and knowing that they couldn't take care of her in the right way since they were in the gang themselves, they took her to an orphanage. Throughout 4 years, Melanie has been to countless orphanages, getting moved from anywhere to a month and a half to 3 months. Until now. Her auntie and uncle believe that she is far away enough from her hometown and that the men aren't looking for her anymore that they decided to leave her in the orphanage for good, but still maintain their guardianship. They look out for her, but let her have her own freedom and life in the orphanage, such as having a boyfriend, Suga. He changed her for the better and is basically her rock whenever she breaks down.

She's bubbly, outgoing, perky, and happy, as long as she doesn't go into a bout of depression. When she does that, her boyfriend usually helps her get through it, and then she's back to her usual self.
