Kai is originally of Chinese descent, but his parents died when he was just a few months old, so his grandparents in Japan took him in. Growing up he learned both Chinese and Japanese, proving to be a very smart boy. He was trained in many different types of martial arts as his grandparents feared he would be bullied by how fair he looked. However, they had nothing worry about because Kai made many friends at school. When they decided he didn't need to learn self-defense, he quickly told them he wanted to keep taking martial arts classes. This was because ever since he was child, Kai had grown up listening and reading to fairytales about knights and princesses. He always thought that the knights were the best, and wanting to be something of a modern knight, he hoped to get a job in security. Instead of becoming a policeman like he wanted (his grandparents would've been too worried about him) he got a security job for an entertainment company in South Korea. By this point, Kai knows at least 5 languages now, has black belts in every martial art he's taken and passed his security exam with flying colors. Many may ask why such a pretty man became a guard instead of an idol but being famous has never really been Kai's thing. Although many people may mistake him for a trainee, he'll politely tell them he's not. Kai actually does his job very well, and uses the fact that people think he's fragile because of his appearance as an advantage for stopping bad people.
