It's been 2 years since Yixing discovered that he was human and for that he wasn't sure if he was grateful or not.  Now he was in the minority and it was a difficult position to be in.  Humans were actively sought by vampires and being part of the minority it was hard to keep hidden.  Yixing instead focused on his school work and on his music.  He'd lose himself in his music whenever he could just to keep himself busy.  Now Yixing didn't have a problem with all vampires, he had classmates who were vampires, but it scared him sometimes that perhaps someday they might turn on him, after all he was a source of food and hunger sometimes outweighed everything.

Yixing lives on his own in a small apartment that he pays for with the money he makes giving piano and guitar lessons and from the part time job he has at a bar.  It isn't much but it's enough for him to get by and he hopes that he'll be able to get through school uneventfully but he's not holding his breath.

IF MY SURVIVAL CAUSED ANOTHER TO PERISH, THEN DEATH WOULD BE SWEETER AND MORE BELOVED.
