Jongin lived a rather average life up until he got accepted into Hogwarts — both his parents gifted with magical abilities, he and his sister had known their differences which separated them from the common society both in an early phase of their lives. As as he aged six, a new chapter of his life was smitten by the acceptance of an adopted member into their family of four, and while all of them opened their arms and willingly led their new daughter and sibling enter the household, Jongin too, had nothing contrary to accepting and developing a tight bond with his new sister, the three children almost inseparable until his acceptance letter to Hogwarts arrived, and Jongin was the first to leave. During the Sorting Ceremony, the hat had hardly even touched Jongin’s head before assigning him to Gryffindor. He spent the next year being your typical Gryffindor student. He had top grades, always was one of the first to master spells, normally found in his free time curled up in an armchair in the common room, a book or parchment and a quill in his lap. The books were always a bit advanced for his age, but he still loved them. At first, trying to be the best he could meant studying. Secondly, It meant treating people with respect despite which house they may be in, whether it be Slytherin or Hufflepuff, being an set out example for his fellow students to look up to as assigned Prefect at the age of sixteen. It also meant being a brother his sisters could rely on and seek for support if need be, maybe even chasing off a boy or two that didn’t make the cut. It wasn’t until he finished his third year at Hogwarts when he got accepted into the Quidditch team, his regular lanky posture making place for defined curves of muscle and albeit not one of the strongest, Jongin made it to the position where he became a decent Chaser. As he tried to refrain his grades from slipping and combine his daily activities with his training, Jongin couldn’t shake the feeling of emptiness lingering in his chest. His first girlfriend then came along, the way she held herself suggesting that though she was well-educated and able to talk to complete strangers, she refrained from showing off. Instead seducing him with gentle touches and the way she’d elegantly tucked a strand of hair behind her ear, charming and feminine and as their relationship lasted throughout his fourth year at Hogwarts, Jongin was too head over heels to notice the way she looked at him much more like a child rather than an actual love interest. Starting anew during his fifth year, Jongin sought the vanished comfort and acceptance that had gone over the summer, this leading to another redundant heartbreak and trust issues, causing him to withdraw to the comforting circle of his family and remain hesitant of intimacy outside of that certain circle. -- under co.

TO LOVE , TO PROTECT
TAKEN (2/2 - Hyeri + Soojung) To his younger siblings, Jongin is as much of a support as a balance between protection and charm, looking out for his sisters more often than not. Wielding their trust and comfort in his everyday life as motivation to assist the common houses of Hogwarts. Joined as a member of the Quidditch team with Soojung and acknowledged her abilities to become one of the best Seekers among the team, he’d always keep an eye on her due to his brotherly instinct and position as the team’s captain. Despise being told off by said female herself, the embarrassment of his caution waved off airily in favor of Soojung’s strong personality and characteristics, Jongin compromises his worry with their status as Prefects and declares his concern as one of the many Prefect student traits. With the youngest of his siblings joining Hogwarts the last, Jongin treated Hyeri none the less with the gentleness and care he’d shown her their entire lives shared underneath the same roof. Where his stance relaxed in their company, Jongin possessed such strength of character that he wasn’t about to sit around and watch anyone show a glimpse of disrespect towards either of his siblings, hardly one to be caught off-guard around the either of them.
