Born in Japan, Kangnam is half Korean, half Japanese. His parents were both nice and his school life was average. At a young age, they moved to Hawaii and lived there for several years. When his parents went back, he chose to stay because he loved the climate there and the surf. One night, he was catching th wave of his life and he suddenly crashed along some rocks, admitting him into the hospital for several days.
When he awoke from his coma, he didn't remember anything about his life before. Who his parents were, who he was or what happened to him. All he knew was his birthday, he was half Korean and half Japanese, and how to do basic things. He made up the alias "Matsua Ichiro" for official documents but went by the nickname Kangnam after hearing it somehwere.
Ocassionally, he will have flashbacks of his life before the accident, causing enormous pains and headaches. He is cold and arrogant when you know him, but he'll appear nice and kind to patients. He believes heavily in that people should stay in their places and is a strict workaholic. He doesn't flirt much, if at all. Kangnam also loathes people with low class.
