WEAKNESSES Appearing somewhat tough, Dara is still a humble and honest girl from a farm, which makes them her main weaknesses. She's easily fooled (if not gullible), and sometimes is not quite aware of this, so she's trying her best to avoid getting fooled (but fail, most of the time). Being spoiled by foods back in her home, she can be easily hungry, so she better get enough food to survive the game. (She has a stomach disorder/ulcer, so when she pass her eating hour, her stomach will be in pain). Close combat with heavy weapons is never one of her strength.            

 

 

WEAPON OF CHOICE Knives, because she is used to chop some meats back in her hometown; and Slingshot because she likes to pick everything she find and make it into her ammo.

PERSONALITY Dara is your girl next door. She's kind and beautiful, dorky and honest, doesn't seem like a fighting-type at all. She is someone who can listen to your story all day long and doesn't know if you're lying. She's also easily excited and appears cheerful most of the time. Even in the darkest hours, Dara is someone who's still forcing herself to view on the good side of everything. But because of these traits, some people see her as a delusional kind of girl, the one that can't deal with bitterness and face the reality. Sometimes, she gets easily panicked.

 

 

BACKGROUND She was chosen as tribute, and she wasn't ready for it. In fact, she was frightened. She is the oldest offspring in the family,  and her step-dad owns a farm back in district 10. Dara often felt burdened and responsible because she's the oldest among her siblings and was very hard-working during her days in district 10. Between her spare times, her mother taught her how to defend herself just in case she was chosen as tribute (mom-instinct never fails) and that's how she got her martial arts skills. She was quite famous because of her youthful appearance, but she hasn't had any boyfriend. She has two little brothers and a baby sister from her step-dad, but all of them know nothing about the step-dad, and only Dara knows about it. She's been wondering who their real father is and has been trying to gather some infos since then. A day before the reaping day, a friend told her something about her real father living in another district, but she didn't managed to grab more information because of the peacekeepers buzzing around. The next day, she was chosen as tribute and was forced to stop her search for her father.

IN THE GAMES

1st

 After surviving the 1st Hunger Games, Dara thought everything would be over, and even thought of continuing her search for her father. But there was a change in the Games. The survivors, even the Victor, were kept to stay in the Training Center, immediately prepared for the next Hunger Games. Of course Dara was surprised, and to add to her confusion she also witnessed one of the Gamemaker did a certain medical procedure to her fellow tributes, that she found out later in the Games, as a brainwash program.

 

2nd

This series of events slowly led her to break her shell when she began to oppose the Capitol during the 2nd Hunger Games. She realized that the true enemy is the Capitol, and therefore she stopped attacking the other tributes, with the idea of standing against the Capitol together, as one. But in the end, everything failed and her naive dream was shattered during the Glacial War.

 

 

 

 

3th

Three Games have passed, and Dara was still alive to be in part of Capitol's favorite time of the year, The Hunger Games. 

At the beginning of the 3rd Games, Luhan made a deal with Dara. Her part of the deal was simply to fight in the arena, and he promised that Zelo and her family's safety would be guaranteed. Though it was tough for her to go against her will, she tried her best to fight and from time to time had to hold back herself from going against the Capitol, for the life of her loved ones. She used dagger to fight in a close range combat for the first time and wasn't good at it. But since then, her poor skill on close combat finally improved. Here, she found out about Yongguk's brainwashing, and also surprised by the changes in Mir, as the guy was now one of the Gamemakers. Her hatred toward the Capitol grew even more, but she knew she needed more than just bravery to turn the table.

 

4th

The death of Nana affected Dara so much, since this was the first time for her in to lose a friend, -a best friend, and therefore she needed time to adjust things, to live her controlled life in the Capitol without her. At this point, Dara slowly began to waver, losing the purpose of surviving in this Games. She realized that any second, any tributes, her friends, could lose a life and so she asked the same question over and over to herself:

"Are they going to survive forever? Is there any chance, any chance at all for them to somehow beat this whole system and go back to their districts in peace?"

As days passing by in the Training Center, Dara tried to focus on her skills, getting herself busy with her slingshot, even learning how to use heavy weapons, anything to distract herself from the endless questions in her head. She was slowly forgetting how it feels to smile genuinely as she now only knows how to smile politely. She lost her confidence in over-throwing the Capitol, though somewhere deep down, it was still her biggest desire. 'Cold' might be the right word to describe Dara at this moment, as she felt like every last warmth she was trying to keep was fading away. Dara needed all the luck in the next Games, and maybe, a magic, to bring love back into her world.
