CHAPTER EIGHT : KIM JONGIN
Cold, calculating and ruthless – everything a cold blooded, trained killer should be and everything Jongin is not. He’s brash, reckless, hotheaded and impulsive, yet exceeds everyone’s expectations by remaining unpredictable in his actions. His methods are violent and rough around the edges, but to him it works and he likes it that way. He’s a spitfire without a filter and his sharp tongue gets him into trouble on a frequent basis. Jongin is a bit standoffish at first and comes across as aloof, due to the detached traits he’s acquired during his childhood. He keeps his distance and lives with no strings attached, preferring to live a more solitary life opposed to being social. He never settles down or allows himself to get close to anyone, knowing how quickly people could be taken away, he prefers to value things on a short basis.
Jongin’s path had been chosen for him the moment his mother brought him into the world. Every intricate detail about his existence decided and carefully mapped out the very second the child basked in the light of day for the first time. He lived a very comfortable, very luxurious life with protection deeming him practically untouchable. However, Jongin was not to be exposed to the same joys and wonders that a young teen his age would normally come to experience. His mother had very little place in his life, especially in terms of discipline. Therefore Jongin’s father took it upon himself to raise his son in his image, overshadowing his wife in a stern aspect of dominance. As a child with a nearly nonexistent immune system, Jongin remained confined in his room for the first few years of his life. Only his family, doctors and specific nannies being allowed to enter the male’s room. He never had the chance to meet new faces or grow socially, this resulting in detached behavior at an older age (read: characteristics). It wasn’t until Jongin breached the age of ten that his immune system reckoned strong for him to be allowed access around his house. When considered old enough to commence techniques in creating electronics, his father wasted no time in introducing Jongin handmade machines, training his son in such manner where imperfection in any degree was unacceptable. Common sense having been lost somewhere along the way, many accidents happened during his experiments and test tries. It was no surprise to see the younger with minor injuries, sometimes major. It was a lifestyle he resented living and he wanted nothing more than to be free of the chains that bound him to the district, volunteering willingly to participate in the hunger games. It’s been three years and Jongin has settled in for the long haul in the games, knowing deep down that there are members of his family that have as much of a personal vendetta against him as he does with them and he can’t help but find the newfound freedom mandatory and enlightening.
Trough learning and observing, Jongin is quick at picking up skills in weapons and hand to hand combat. his earliest kills weren’t clean and sharp, but the results were on par with the professionals and that was good enough to guarantee him a stable reputation; one that made him feel safe and allowed him to take out his anger on tributes without repercussions. Jongin’s body is tall and muscular due to being in several games and committing himself to training, endurance and drive to pursue his actions comprehensive.
Jongin is arrogant, his attitude of superiority manifested in an overbearing manner or in presumptions claims or assumptions. He listens to nothing but his intuition and the overbearing need to be detached in fear of hurting himself often gets the better. Due to being locked up for the majority of his childhood, the teen frquenty has claustrophobic tendencies, resulting in a harder time to grasp his breath and panic attacks.
Choosing a weapon according to his specialties, Jongin’s weapon of choice goes out to something sharp and keen to compliment his hand to hand combat. Since Jongin is from a district that is assigned to create electronics, he has a decent amount of knowledge revolving around small machines/mechanisms.

AUTHOR'S NOTE
My timezone is GMT + 1 which means i'm often asleep when others are awake, unfortunately. However, this doesn't limit my replies. I prefer taking my time roleplaying (my replies, with the occasional writers-block, taking up from 30 minutes to a day). Try not to rush me because i have a life outside of roleplay republic. Whenever I am not trying to juggle admin duties with doing school related work, I am roleplaying elsewhere or catching up with my friends. Overall I am a friendly person (even though Jongin is not) and am more than willing to plot and/or cope with whatever idea you might have in mind.
