Strength: Thanks to his district he has a strong sense of awareness for his surroundings. Laboring to build railroads all his life he has strong forearms and biceps. His core is well built from practicing good form while building. His ability to recognize and memorize specific locations down to the last centimeter is his best ability. His sight, smell, touch sense are enhances and he can often predict the weather from being outside working all year round.
Weaknesses: His weakest point is his reckless behavior. He often will act without thinking carefully about the situation at hand, especially around people. Which is why all the he loves talking he often under serious circumstances prefers working alone. His hearing is worst than most people which is why people are always having to yell at him; his sense of taste is nimble so he eats almost anything which can cause him to eat things like poison and not now like most others could figure out by the taste. He has a bad habit of believing people (who are lying), unless he already knows the truth.
Weapon of Choice: Any type of metallic pole or bar. He likes his weapon to be something he can just pick up and use with one or both hands. It has to be able to follow through with his strength. His second choice is similar to his the metallic pole except he would chose a metallic bat for the same reason. But for a quick finish and to have a greater advantage he would choose a gun over anything.
Personality: Dongwoo is the type of person who you can read like an open book; he has no deeper hidden thoughts. If he's thinking and analyizing a situation it's written all over from his expressions to his body language. He doesn't hide his opinion and tends to comment quite often most of the time too often. He is easily entertained by anything from the indents on a rock to the way a ant walks along a path.
Because Dongwoo is an open book it's obvious to people that to some degree can be trusted. He loves to play tricks on people and make others laugh but because of his love for tricks he sometimes passes the line between a joke and just plain mean.
Background: Dongwoo, like many people of the districts has had rough patches in his life, he doesn't consider his scars to be any more special. His mother was weak and starved like many other women and she died giving birth to him; while his father was tired of all the tradgedies he tried to run away but the Peacemakers caught him and punished him. His father now is a sick man who can't work, his own father can't even recognize his son or anyone for that matter anymore. His father is in line for excecution by the Peacemakers because he is of no use to them now since he can't work. So he was raised by his strict and old-fashioned grandmother who believes men are strong and no emotions are necessary for growing up and becoming a man. From the young age of five he had to start learning to use tools and lift heavy objects. By the age of eleven he was doing the work of three grown men. The Peacemakers were very pleased with his proactive work ethic but they disliked that not even for a second would his mouth be shut, his words always flowing out. When he told his grandmother he was chosen to be a tribute she didn't even flinche; not even a goodbye or do well was said to him.
Life in the Game: When Dongwoo first entered the game he was able to make various allies easily because of his open nature. However Dongwoo went through a disappearance phase during game two until game seven, and during that time he lost many of his allies because of the cruel nature of the game. He has no idea whether any of them are even alive. He's frightened to re-enter the games, but he has no choice.
