His father was the hunter of his pack. He found a lone and injured wolf while hunting and brought him to the pack's camp. The other pack members agreed to let him join them and soon the two of them fell for each other. But the alpha of the pack also had feelings for the new wolf so when his beta told him that the two had mated he excluded the both of them after fighting and losing against the hunter. A few weeks after leaving the pack, the submissive wolf got pregnant and died a few months later while giving birth to Kyungsoo. The ex-hunter raised Kyungsoo as well as he could, teaching him how to be a perfect hunter and building a small hut for the two of them as the little boy loved playing in his human form. But one day, while Kyungsoo was learning how to hunt with his father, they came across a group of humans. The ex-hunter quickly hid Kyungsoo in the hut before running away to lure the humans and protect his son but after a few minutes a loud gunshot could be heard and he never came back. Since then Kyungsoo has been living alone in the same hut, staying away from the city and any humans.
