Hyukjae was three years old when it all happened, it was a quarter to five PM and his parents were supposed to pick him up from kindergarten, but they didn't show up.
Being abandoned wasn't something the little one had thought of, nor he wondered if his parents forgot about him...not at all! Actually Hyukjae was too distracted playing with his plush toy while waiting, he didn't even notice time passing.

Two hours went by, and by then the young child started to worry. His teacher approached him with teary eyes, making him innocently ask what could be wrong, but she only smiled and handed Hyukjae a strawberry milk packet.
"Hyukkie, you have to go with this lady, okay?", she said. "She's really nice, and will take care of you for the next hours", he was told. Hyukjae simply nodded, flashing a smile as he hugged the plush toy.

A while after being sitting in a room with kids of all ages happily playing and making a bunch of new friends, Hyukjae finally started to wonder and worry...also, he missed home, he missed his toys, his family.
He approached the lady who fetch him earlier, he tugged at her jacket and he shyly asked "Where's eomma?".
The lady crouched by his side and cupped his face, gazing into Hyukjae's sad eyes, "Eomma and appa became angels today, and can't take care of you, my love. But I promise you they're looking after you.", she explained in a sweet tone.

In his young innocence he didn't ask for further details, once he had indeed heard about angels, guardian angels to be exact.
But as he grew he started asking himself the reason why, feeling curious, so he went to the same lady that had picked him seven years ago (he was ten years old already), and asked her about the truth.
