Background
growing up with both parents that are in the korean arm forces, jieun and her parents did not see each other everyday. but both parents love their only daughter so much, that they could leave her with her aunt and uncle. her parents do leave their work un-done for her, to play with her ot bring her out to have some fun. they do—did. then jieun's father was assigned to a major criminal case, his life was on the line and he had valuble infomation in his hands. it was military stuff that he was never suppose to be in, but they needed his help. with so much infomation about the south korean military, he stopped going out with his family. he stopped playing with jieun. he tried to stay away from any contact with a fellow human being. this infomation had to be kept a secret. the fact that he knew all this infomation, had to kept a secret too.

one day, on a late evening, jieun was told to get the mail and there was a letter from the military to her father. she was curious, like any six year old her age, so she opened it. and with the limited amout of reading she knew, she found out about the military giving her father a warning, saying that they were going to arrest him and question him. they thought he gave the infomation to the north koreans who was against the south koreans—when actually he was set up by his fellow worker at the police force. jieun was shocked, and asked her father questioned he himself couldn't answer. they were worried for their daughter's sake. so when she turned seven, they sent her to be taken care of by her aunt and uncle. 

both aunt and uncle don't know about any of the infomation. all they knew was that the jieun's parents are on the 'wanted' list of south korea. however, they raised jieun like their own daughter. they didn't have children so jieun was cherished by them. her uncle has pasted on but her aunt is still that strong lady that jieun knew. till this day she still lives with her aunt. till this day she feels lucky. till this day she doesn't know that her parents are dead, killed by the police force. till this day she still wonders if her parents loved her as much as her aunt and uncle kim. 

she wonders, but she'll never know the secrets. because some secrets are best kept as secrets. some secrets hurt people; and these secrets surely would hurt jieun. it is like spiderman. he was lucky. just like jieun.

Personality
she's a sensitive girl who tries he best to put on a smile. awkward as hell, jieun tries her best to talk to people, comfort them but she still is careful with her actions. "think before you act" as she likes to call it. she's mature for her age, level headed but she knows to have some fun when she wants too. jieun's an emotional girl, having night terrors just adds on to her fears. she wants to be brave. she wants to be fearless. but she know's she's far from all that. she wants to be strong, but she's weak, she's fragile. and she knows it. though she smiles, you can always see this small frown cursed on her lips. she tries to be happy, she tries to smile sincerely. but she's troubled on the inside. life is hell at times.
