background: His mother left him and his father once she found out Nagito's father was having an affair with a man in Japan. The two moved to Korea because his father claimed Japan reminded him too much of bad times. Once in Korea, Nagito's dad opened a gay strip club, and made Nagito stay in a corner of the club to do his school work once he came home. By the time Nagito was fifteen, however, his father forced Nagito to help out his business by selling himself to the gay clubbers inside. Only recently had Nagito's father discovered his son couldn't feel any physical pain, and set his son up to service the most painful, richest men inside the club. "You can't feel any pain; in this world, your disability is a gift." His father had once said, with greed gleaming in his eyes. 

The club's income picked up tremendously due to the young e, making Nagito earn a nice paycheck from his father for his services. But word had got around to the police while he was seventeen, and an undercover cop arrested both Nagito and his father. His father was sent directly to the federal prison, but because Nagito was too young, he was forced to go to the asylum in an attempt to clear up his act before being released into the world again.
