Description
choi jinri
Dreams only have one owner at a time...
Jinri's always lived a mundane life that is somewhat boring but comfortable. Her family seems perfect, with her two parents and her older brother. Her school life seems perfect as well. She doesn't receive the best of grades but she does have her own small group of friends. But nothing is ever perfect, and she realizes that when she comes home too early one day and hears her mother fighting with her older brother. Because she's the youngest in the family, no one tells her anything. She didn't know that her brother hates their parents, and she didn't realize that her parents may not be as kind and caring as she thought. And it's because of that verbal fight between her mother and her brother that she realizes something is wrong.
She took it upon herself to snoop around and determine the root of the anger her brother has for their parents. Because she now knew a bit of what is actually going on in her family, she became more observant and came to be able to read her parents and her brother's expressions extremely well. She could read every emotion, every nonverbal signal, every look. And she read too much of it. There was a lot of burning hatred in her family - the model family that everyone envied and wished they had. And because of this, she never spoke of what she sees everyday. She kept quiet.
But her silence can only last so long.
She decided to be a journalist as a way of compensating for keeping the secret of her family. Strange thinking, but that's what she believed. Recording what she finds and truth and letting the world know lifts a weight off her shoulders, an invisible weight that only she knows.

...That's why dreamers are lonely.
Being a journalist has shaped Jinri's personality much more than she really thinks it does. She's always been a patient person and a good listener, but those traits have enhanced thanks to her career. She gives off a naive aura because of her babyish face, but her strong will and inquisitiveness are not to be belittled. Her nosiness has only gotten worse with time, as her job requires it, but she doesn't like to meddle in anything (something she took away as experience with her family). She's good at reading between the lines, and is extremely observant. She outwardly gives off the impression that she is a confident person when she is extremely insecure about herself. Confidence is a front she puts out as to not look intimidated by people, but if you get to know her outside of work, you would see just how awkward and shy she is.
