Background
His life has been nothing but a fraud until the age of 18 where his image of a perfect family was shattered to pieces. Literally. Who would have thought his whole existance was an accident due to two irresponsible teenagers making horrible choices? Perhaps it would have hurt less if Jongjin was notified once he was of age to learn about it, but hearing it spill out of the lips of his supposed 'parents' by eavesdropping was like a painful slap in the face. In an instant, what he'd known to be true were just fabricated lies fed to him like he was some stupid, naive, disfunctional kid. This wasn't even the worse part of his life.

A week later after this revelation, he overheard the man and woman he was so used to calling 'mom' and 'dad' have a talk in the kitchen about him. Jongjin could not describe in words the mixed feelings he had that made his stomach churn uncomfortably. The realization that he was an unwanted child, forcefully ed upon a family that took him out of pity was the last thing he needed in this messed up life of his. What did he do wrong for the people that took him in and cared for him when he was just a mere baby to hate him so much? Money? He paid rent once he was old enough to get a job. Grades was not a problem for Jongjin, he stayed at the top and was even eligible to go to an ivy league university. His friend's parents would always shower him with praise of being the dream child of any parents, but this was not enough for his 'parents' apparently. Jongjin can only say, this was betrayal at its finest. 

With nothing left that was worth staying for, he packed his bags that night and left early in the morning without a note. They didn't derserve one. Jongjin was lucky one of his friends that just moved out let him share the apartment, as long as he helped pay half the rent every month. He lived like that for around two years before moving out to live on his own when he got out of college and taking on a trade in carpentry since computer companies and printing presses won't hire him if he didn't have a degree. That was until he got this intricate mail in his mailbox one day that had the words "The Night Circus" printed across in beautiful lettering asking for his services with the position as ticket master. Well it was a full time job, the the pay was better than his current part time job, and it includes housing and meals which satisfies all his needs. Without a second thought, Jongjin jumped at the opportunity given to him and that leads him to his current life in the circus. You'll find him either holed up in his study/bedroom designing posters and tickets or helping out with maintenance for specific tents.

Personality
Aloof and indifferent to most things around him, Jongjin is usually misunderstood by his peers as being cold. In truth, he is cold, but that only happens when he's working and doesn't like to be disturbed. He's a man that uses his actions more than words to express himself and his caring attitude shows in his work.Not a lot of people talk to him as he has quite the intimidating aura around him, and he tends to keep to himself a lot in his study except when sorting out details with the ringmasters.

Headstrong and straightforward; the one with the guts to approach Jongjin without a moment's hesitance. Everyone else is either too scared or easily intimidated by his unapproachable aura, but despite all that, she still talks to him like she would anyone else. The one person to break Jongjin out of his aloof shell and bring out the side of him that he's kept hidden away.

A relationship gone awry. Jongjin never could really grasp what had gone wrong between them and some nights he still wished for one more night. Perhaps it was his own unhealthy obsession for the love they shared in the past, but seeing that person once more sparked unnecessary turmoil to spread in his heart. Was it still love or merely just physical attraction?
