 Minzy was born in Viginia, U.S.A to a caring family. Always having known she was a dancer, they pushed her to be the best. 

When she came out at 15, they excepted her and encouraged her to do as she wished. They wanted her to be happy, no matter what.

When Minzy was at a dance competition in Calafornia an earthquake killed her whole family, stuck in their hotel; She and her aunt, whohad been out shopping, we're the only Gong Family survivors. 

She lived with her aunt until age 19, when she went to college in All Star City to learn more about dance (To her aunts disapproval).
