BACKGROUND
Kim Jongdae grew up in Gyeonggi-do in a middle class area with his parents. When he was in high school he had a scheduled audition for a large music company but his parents needed him at home because his mother was ill. He doesn't regret missing the audition because he got to spend his mother's last minutes by her side. After that his dad kicked him out of the house with a large amount of money and he moved to Seoul to finish schooling. He doesn't take a single day of his life for granted because he realized how quickly it can all change. He now sings at a small bar every night to fullfill at least a bit of his dream, just like he promised his mother he would. It might not be a flashy stage or an interested audience, but he is doing what he loves and wouldn't take back a single night.
PERSONALITY
Chen has a big heart and a great sense of humor, but most people he jokes with are the wrong kind of people. Jongdae deals with bullies on a daily basis, he does his best to avoid them and laugh through the pain, but they always seem to find him just to kick him when he's down. Chen doesn't ever seem to mind, though, because he knows they probably have it worse than he does. He would give the shirt off his back just to make someone happy. He is strong where it counts, but even sometimes he has to cry. Jongdae deals eith night terrors. He has recently been takingmmedicine to help them go away, but they still come out sometimes.
