JongJin grew up normally. Or as normal as he could after he found out his secret. He was adored as a child. And, even then, prefered to be by himself. He got into reading at a young age. He lived alone with his mother. Until he found out the one thing that changed his life forever. When became old enouhg, Jay ran as far away from his childhood as he could and eventually settled down and even opened a book store of his own. Now, he lives alone in a small apartment above his bookstore. He's not a very social person and prefers to sit alone and read all the books he has access to. He's very shy and doesn't really talk to anyone he doesn't know. Unless it's about books. When he does talk, he's very easy going and as happy as he can make himself be. The more comfortable he is with you, the more he will talk to you. And count yourself lucky with that. Because that means he put down his current book to socialize with you.
