Daehyun's past has always been a secret, maybe his whole existence has. He lives by the element of surprise and a tissue of lies. He knows that speaking the truth can be your only downfall in a world like his, that it's naive to spill everything about yourself because enemies can pick at your weak spots. Any information on Jung Daehyun is rare to find, because no one has met him long enough to start a talk, much less see him. Even though he's the leader of Bloodstained, he doesn't often go out of his office unless he's needed for a job. Only a selective few in the gang have seen his face, though he usually wears a mask that covers the lower half. He has a high price on his head by police and gangs alike, but with his unknown identity, it's hard to spot who he really is.

When wandering the streets, he uses aliases, a different one every time of course. He learned that using the same one every time can be a blow to your identity because it gives a name to your face, whether fake or not. In his world, he goes under the code name Koroshiya, which is tattooed on the back of his right shoulder in Japanese kanji. Of course, everyone in his gang knows his real name. Daehyun doesn't have a permanent place to stay, moving from hotel to hotel, careful enough not to leave traces of himself behind.

Though he may seem professional, he does slip up every now and then ; no one can ever hold a perfect streak, not even him. Although, he manages to steal an item from every victim, keeping it as a keepsake of his victory. On the outside, Daehyun may be a cold killer, temperamental and merciless ; however, inside of him is a little child, seeking for love and feeding off the admiration and fear of others.
