Shin Jiho, or Xero as he is known, started training at the age of 13. While his friends were goofing off, experiencing first crushes, and studying hard for school, Jiho was training until 3 am, studying for an hour, and waking up at six a.m.for school 5 days out of the week, and practicing until five a.m.on weekends. He's worked hard, bled, sweated, and broke down, but has never given up. He is one of the most hardworking and humble people you'll ever meet despite the praises he's gotten over the years for being a dancing prodigy. He is very cutesy and is fluent in English and Korean. He has a strained relationship with his parents for pursuing what they called, "a fruitless and fleeing career." He likes to keep his problems, fears, and insecurities to himself, locked up inside until he bursts, because he doesn't want to burden other's with his "trivial problems."
