BACKGROUND
Sojin thinks she's pretty normal regarding her past. She grew up in a family with a mother and father, and two siblings with her being the middle child. She was often ignored by her family, all the attention going to her younger and older sibling. She didn't mind that she was often left out, she just wanted her parents to notice her and her accomplishments. She grew used to it, instead, seeking attention from her friends at school instead.
During high school, her father had passed away, leaving her mother devestated. Since her mother had been a housewife since the day she got married, she was just getting into work and did not have enough money to support all of them. Of course, she gave away Sojin to her aunt and uncle, and deep down, the girl felt betrayed. She grew to resent her mother for giving her away, even though she had seen it coming when her father died.
Her first relationship started after she moved in with her aunt. She believed he was nice, he spoiled her with affection and gifts all the time. She was naive, thinking that they would last a long time but in the end, she caught him cheating on her best friend. The sense of betrayal grew inside her once more. She shut herself out for a while after the relationship, but soon enough, she wiped the memory of the man from her mind. Someone like that wasn't worth brooding over. She began to put her attention on her studies instead of working on friendships, eventually becoming the top student of her class.
Currently, she's a college student, working part time as a singer at a local bar. She has a scholarship for the most part, but she still works to earn and save up money for her future.
PERSONALITY
Sojin is a girl with trust issues, and she makes it clear that she does. She has friends, but she isn't close enough to anyone to rely on them or to rant her problems out to them. Though her personality may seem simple, her mind and heart are quite complicated, so getting through to this girl will be tough especially if you're looking for a relationship with her.
She's reserved at first, but if you make the initiative to talk to her, she's actually quite nice and friendly, despite her sarcastic words. She's never one to make an initiative, unless you stand out in her eyes or if she admires you. She's stubborn most of the time, so persuading her when she has her mind or heart set on something is difficult. She has the tendency to protect her interests and passions, she's the type to immediately protect the things that she likes and will grow disinterest with getting to know you. Indeed, she is a difficult person to approach.
However, she does have a playful side. At times, she can be flirtatious and she's had a handful of one night stands before, even a few friends with benefits. Once again, you have to be the one to approach her, unless she's attracted to you with only one glance. She's quite charismatic on stage, her passion shows clearly in her presence and voice. Though inside, she's like a little girl, yearning for attention and maybe even love. Even if she's not looking, she's willing to settle down if someone good comes by.
