About Me (OOC)

GMT - 5 (Pacific)

1st POV, but can do 3rd para/mirror in absolute emergencies. Just no novellas, please. I'm way too busy and braindead for novellas. ;;

I love drama and angst and fluff. The more the merrier. However, I rather like to be the cause/epicenter of all the drama and stuff. XD

I absolutely refuse to do straight. I can barely make friends with most female charas to start with unless they're cool and down to earth.

Grammar/punctuation/spelling Nazi. More or less. I just ask for decent English nowadays. XD

I don't talk to people who are taken already. No ifs, ands, or buts about it, unless we're friends and all.

Also, if you want to RP, you're dropping the starter.

Winging it or plots, I'm good with either... though I rather prefer some structure to the RPing.

Description

Name: Kiseop

Position: Gladiator-in-Training at Kwangju, hopes to be Guard of Loyalty

Relationship Status: Single

Orientation: Likes a few boys, if any

Personality: Very quiet and keeps largely to himself. Doesn't much like talking to people.

History: Kiseop was born and raised in Seoul to a family with gladiatorial roots on both sides of the family tree. While he took after his lithe and flexible mother in appearance and movement, his father's sharp mental skills and strong will found a niche in young Kiseop's mind. When he was but 9 years old, his family moved to Kwangju to find a better home for their son, that he might receive the best in gladiatorial training. As his parents were Seoul champions and knew the tricks there, they wanted him to learn more beyond what they'd taught him, and enrolled him in the training program in Kwangju.

Through the turmoil of the Years of Blood that followed, Kiseop kept his head down and trained hard, never letting anyone know where he was from and what kind of training he'd had beforehand. Even when his parents were killed trying to protect their regrettably high-ranking friends, he still kept training and training. Despite the violence going on in the streets, the games in the coliseums still went on and were more popular than before, with fighters reenacting certain bits of news and gossip circulating the city. In fact, probably the safest place in any city at the time were the arenas... a certain substance had come from Seoul that made the gladiators look dead when struck, and they were quickly revived back in the safety of the barracks. The Kwangju doctores saved themselves quite a lot of money and time that way, and were able to keep their best and brightest alive for the now-theatrical fights.

Still Kiseop worked hard. He never touched the substance, never faked death. More often than not, the only reason he lived was because he was a crowd favorite with his young age and pretty looks. He lost an eye to the games, and scars littered his lean, muscled body. What he lacked in sheer brute strength, he made up for in agility and acrobatics and heightened senses. His long-term goal? Being the Guard of Loyalty for the Dominos and Domina of Kwangju. There were some whispers of him somehow getting an influential, but mysterious patron from Seoul of all places, but no confirmation was ever made. Any questions asked of Kiseop about his good fortune were answered with a blank stare and a few seconds' silence before he simply walked away. If one looked closely, though, they might have seen something like a glimmer of humor in his one good eye just before he vanished.
