Kai is a gypsy from the dark back alleys of Seoul, he was born a gypsy, raised a gypsy and he's determined to die a gypsy.
Weilding dark magic is what gypsys are know for and most are terrified of them for that reason. They usually seem pretty harmless, 
potting about in their caravans, accepting silver coins for tails of your future. But gypsys can also be masters of illusion and deceit
and more often than not they are cheats and tricksters as opposed to fortune tellers.

Gypsys also do not see their talent as black magic, they see it as well... a gift. A part of them, if you told Kai he had magic,
and dark magic. He would assume you were just crazy. Gypsys are usually dressed in long flowing robes in rich shades of the
sunset since they follow the god of the sun and of light. The robes are usually flowy

Kai personally, can read people's futures, has excellent slight of hand skills and can create illusions out of light and lack of.

Kai grew up as most gypsy boys do, wary of the normal town folk, aprpeciative of and trained in his powers and respectful 
Of the gypsy religion. But, when guards burnt down his clan's caravans. he was left the only survivor, the guards held him, steady
made him watch before dragging him back up to the castle as a prize. Gypsys are hard to catch you see and considered devious
and evil by most, so him alive and enslaved was quite a trophy to present to their dominos.

Now, Kai works as a handmaid, pouring wine and serving food, cleaning up after a meal and scrubbing floors and pots in
the kitchens, however since he is considered more "dangerous"  he is constant;y in chains, the main focus around his hands to stop
him from  pulling any tricks. The chains have also been treated with repellant to stop dark magic supposedly.

Either way, to make him look more like a prize, Kai still wears his gypsy clothing whilst he works abd you can always hear him
coming by the clinking of his chains. He will not let his pride or his honour die and will often be beaten for speaking or defending himself
or his kind, or trash talking lords. Kai's spirit has been far from broken and he plans one day to get his families revenge.
